Dillard pointed out how he learned “at the knee of former Illinois Govenor Jim Edgar, as his chief of staff, how to balance a state budget. Indeed, Governor Edgar inherited a state in debt and left it with a One Billion Dollar Surplus. Dillard statede that we can do it again. Of course, the issue of the need to bury the atmosphere of corruption that has so dominated Illinois was also discussed by Dillard. The good people of the State of Illinois can rejoice and the Republican Party can be proud of having a candidate like Kirk Dillard commit to public service in this state!
